GA Day (Day: 1)

So I'm starting this new thing on here. It's called 'GA Day'. Grey's Anatomy Day to elaborate. At the end of every month, the 28th (I had to take 28th because...you know, Way to go, February) I'll post what I think is a fantastic voiceover from one of my favourite shows, Grey's Anatomy. Today is the starting of what seems like a compelling thread of posts. "The early bird catches the worm; a stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we haven't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to ‘seize the day'. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore, until we finally understand for ourselves like Benjamin Franklin meant. That knowing is better tha…

Walls

Image
We have all been though stuff. Some good, some bad, some that have seemed impossible to get through.

When you get hurt, you tend to back away. Back away into your own mind where everything is in your control. But do you know what happens when you get hurt a lot of times by a buttload of people? You build up walls. You keep yourself inside, afraid that if you put a toe outta line, you'll get hurt. It's a very daunting thought. Nobody wants to get hurt but no one wants to stay alone either. How do we do this then? How can we feel and not get hurt? We can't. It is impossible.

These four walls around me have kept me in for a long time. But strangely they work for me. I want to clear something up. Building walls DOESN'T mean you HAVE TO keep everybody out. It means to carefully choose who you let it. Do I make any sense? I don't know. It's my defense system, yes, but it's also my way of figuring out who really wants me to be in their lives. There's this famo…

Cross Your Fingers, Make A Wish.

Second chances, wishes upon a star, a coin in the well. Why do we have these? I have just one answer in mind. Hope. We hope and pray that things will work out, that people will change and life will become better.

What happens when someone close to you hurts you? It's heart breaking, obviously. Then why do we give them second chances? Because we are naive enough to think that he/she will change. One in a million chance, they do. But when they don't it makes us feel even more stupid. Then should we? Should we give second chances? YES.

We all make mistakes. And then we regret making them. We wish we had another chance; if only we could push rewind. But unfortunately, rewind is not an option. So we ask for a second chance, to do it all over again. The thing is, these chances only work when you do something differently. If you keep making the same mistakes then you will end up right where you started.

If you're the one giving the chance then do it with an open mind or don't…

List #4

4 Signs that someone doesn't like you:

1.Not Calling/Texting Back: So maybe they're just busy or have a legit reason but if this happens ever so often and if he/she hasn't got back to you in over a week (or more, it depends), you don't stand a chance. Don't waste your time.

2.Insulting Something You Like: This is okay once in a while but if someone dares to insult you fandom or your favourite music artist or even your choice of pizza topping repeatedly, then he/she doesn't like you

3.Spreading Rumours: They can't make you miserable themselves so they'll spread crafty stories about how you are a giant asshole (which you obviously are not.) Sometimes it also means they're jealous but most of the times the just want to see you suffer.

4.Talking To You Only When They Need Help: They won't even come close if they don't want anything. You are their house elf. Only there to help and to make things easier for them. for instance, when they need a ride or…

Pretending

"Fake it till you make it." That's something a lotta people live by. I am not going to deny it either. I live by that too sometimes. Most of the times it work. For instance, do you feel like you are not that cool enough yet? Just fake it till you make it.

But what's the point? What's the point of pretending? Is it just for the people around us? Or is it for ourselves too?
High school can be daunting. I'm just beginning to get the sense of it. Freshman year, wonderful isn't it? But sometimes you have to hide yourself to be perceived as "cool" or someone who is "fun to hang out with". HOW PATHETIC. Like for example, not being able to say that you actually think that the nerdy guy with a face full of pimples is a really fun person. Or not being able to wear you favourite High School Musical shirt from 6 years ago (Yes, it still fits me.) because everyone will think that you are being childish.
Do we like it? Of course not. But we still go …
