A Brand New Day

"It's been a great year!" That's what everyone says isn't it? A general answer to a general question this time of the year.
One thing everyone commonly doesn't tell is the hardships. Every single person has done something that they are not proud of this year and I'm here to tell you that IT IS OKAY!
: Rule of thumb: Learn to let go. : That is the only way you can enjoy your life and be the person you always wanted to be. Be fearless. Be passionate. Be kind. Be fun. But the most important thing is to be yourself because you cannot possibly get everyone to like you so might as well be someone you can be proud of.

On a more positive note, it's only a few hours to a band new year, a new hope and a new beginning. I say, make the most of it. Because "Tomorrow" is not a thing to depend upon. Let's make this year the best yet. Travel, read, spend time with loved ones, get up and go to gym (It's really hard. Believe me.) face your fears, and do …

#HeForShe

"We don’t often talk about men being imprisoned by gender stereotypes, but I can see that they are, and that when they are free, things will change for women as a natural consequence. If men don’t have to be aggressive in order to be accepted, women won’t feel compelled to be submissive. If men don’t have to control, women won’t have to be controlled.

Both men and women should feel free to be sensitive. Both men and women should feel free to be strong. It is time that we all perceive gender on a spectrum, instead of two sets of opposing ideals. If we stop defining each other by what we are not, and start defining ourselves by who we are, we can all be freer, and this is what HeForShe is about. It’s about freedom.

I want men to take up this mantle so that their daughters, sisters, and mothers can be free from prejudice, but also so that their sons have permission to be vulnerable and human too, reclaim those parts of themselves they abandoned, and in doing so, be a more true and …
